Liz's Birthday!

So our Liz is now 7! Can you believe it. Time does go very fast. Here she is blowing out her candles on her cake.
The night before her birthday she had a friend over for a late night to watch the new Tinkerbell movie.
Here is Liz with gifts in the morning.
Here is Liz on her new bike. Her old one is now to small. She is funny about her bike. She wants it but was more excited about her other gifts.
The morning of her birthday we had a Primary program practice. Here she is all dressed up.
Here is Liz with the cake she got. I was not able to make the cake this year because I had to go to the Primary program practice also. She chose this this nice butterfly cake. It was chocolate with cream frosting (very yummy!).
Thanks to everyone who was able to come to the party. Liz had a great time!
How often can you have your party outside in November.
It did start to get chilly when the shade came over the backyard but for the most part it was very nice.
Getting our cake and ice cream.
Chatting in the backyard.
Liz and Alicia decided to eat in the wagon.
So this picture is not from Liz's birthday. I took it last night. Greg was teaching her how to play soduku and she fell asleep with her pencil and puzzle.

October 2009 (Including Halloween)

So here is a summary of what we did in October. All the summaries are below the pictures.

For General Conference we stayed home and had a nice day. It rained all day but we had a nice breakfast and it was nice to hear the messages.
We went down to Thanksgiving Point and went to Cornbellys. It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the corn maze and all the other activities.
Here is Liz with the Pumpkin Princess.
The kids loved this house of corn they could run through.
There were several tractor pulls. Here is one that looks like cows. I am impressed that I fit inside.
The kids playing on a cow.
These bikes were a huge hit.
Liz posing for us.
Liz had crazy hair day at school. This was her creation.
I bought some sidewalk paint and the kids had a nice time. I was happy when the rain washed it all away without any scrubbing.
Kalvin had a great time.
Here is Kail's creation.
So, here is a picture of Kail in a tantrum. He is such a sweet kid but is having a lot of trouble expressing his frustration. Lets just say he was not happy after I took this picture either.
We carved pumpkins as a family. Here is the before shot.
Here is Greg cutting off the top.
Kalvin had a great time trying to get all the seeds out of his pumpkin.
Here is Liz hard a work.
So this is how Kail got rid of his pumpkin seeds. What is wrong with this picture!
Here is Kail's final product. It is a bat.
Here is Kalvin's final product.
Here is Liz's final product. She designed it, traced it, and did most of the cutting.
Here is what the pumpkins look like all lit up.
On Halloween we went trick or treating to all the grandparents. We started with Greg's family.

Next we made our way to David and Jana's.
Finally we ended up at my parents house. Thanks for all the goodies everyone.
Here we are in front of our house.
Kalvin was Winnie the Pooh. We was a great trick or treater and went all night.
Liz was our Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz.
Kail was Spiderman.
Here is a shot of the entire family thanks to our tripod.

September 2009

So I finally got Greg to help me paint our bedroom. It is such a nice soft color now. We also changed several of the light fixtures upstairs. It is looking great.
As you can tell, I am a little excited.
Over Labor Day we went down to Draper and had a breakfast with Greg's family. It was nice. We had the works. I love a good breakfast!
So I think it is funny how Kail is trying to pull away.
So this is a great several times a day ritual. Everyone brushing their teeth at the same time in the smallest room in the house. Don't you love how your kid always seem to end up together in tight spaces when they are playing or finishing their jobs.
We all went to the Air Force Museum this month and took grandpa and grandma with us. Here is grandma being a good sport in the backseat.

Kail
Kalvin
Here is grandpa helping us all stay on track.
Two great smiles!
For family night one week, we went down to Temple Square. We always for the Christmas lights but never take them down to see what it is like the rest of the year. The kids had a nice time walking through the visitor centers and seeing what was there.

It always makes me happy when the kids play together. Here they are in Liz's room making a bean bag tower. They were so proud of themselves.

August 2009

I need to begin this blog with the passing of my grandfather. He was an amazing man. Up until the end he kept his amazing spirit about himself. He was a man of family and faith. My grandfather and grandmother have always been so willing to serve in any way they have been asked. What amazing examples they are in my life.
This is a picture of all of my cousins at the mortuary before my grandfather's viewing. It is an amazing thing to say that all of his grandchildren were able to attend the funeral. They came from all over the country to attend.
Here is a picture of all the cousins and their spouses at the viewing. Only one spouse was not able to be there. My grandfather had been able to perform the marriage sealing for most of my cousins who are married. Unfortunately he was to sick to seal Scott and Sue.
Here is a picture of teh entire family that was able to attend the viewing. This picture does not include all of the great grandchild because they stayed home during the viewing.
Here is my grandmother standing by the flowers that the first presidency and presidency of the 70 sent for the funeral.
Here is a picture of the flowers that the cousins did for the funeral.
All of my sisters and their families were in town again for the funeral. Here is a picture of all of us. It was nice to see everyone again.
Here we are being crazy.
Brandon was swinging around all of the kids with Clint, Greg, and Rick. They had a great time.
Here are the ladies watching the swinging.
Dinner is always great when we get together.
I took the kids to the county fair this month. Kail had a nice time feeding the animals at the petting zoo.
Liz started soccer. Her team is the Golden Eagles.
A picture of Kalvin on the first day of school even though he did not get to go.
Here is Liz on her first day of school. She is now in first grade.
Here is Kail on his first day of pre-school.

July 2009

So the big event for July was Sue and Scott's wedding. It was a great event and fun to have the whole family in town. This is my favorite picture of them at the reception center.
Here is a shot of the whole family.
Here is a shot of our family.
All the men at the temple, minus the groom.
The photographer took several pictures of Greg and I think he did a nice job.
Don't you just love Kalvin! He is so cute.
The ladies giving us a pose at the temple.
Why would the photographer take this picture of me?!?! It is crazy.
A shot of Kalvin and me.
All the boy cousins at the temple.
All the grand kids with the bride and groom. Isn't it fun that a family with all girls would have so many boy grandchildren.
Alicia and Liz in their black dresses at the reception. They are growing up so fast!
Another shot of Greg that the photographer took. My handsome hubby.
The photographer also took a bunch of shots of Kalvin.
I like this shot.
My boy is growing up so fast!
Here is Kail holding my flowers.
The week before the wedding was also a great time with all the family together. Sue went through the temple and here is everyone out to dinner after.
Always nice to have a shot with my hubby.
Here we are with Sue.
The day before the wedding was July 24th. Greg had to work but the rest of us had a fun, full day. We all went out to breakfast, except for several guys who went to play golf.
We had to sit at 2 tables.
We got so much food. It was nice.
Alicia and Liz.
After breakfast we went bowling. Here is Liz.
Kail had a great time.
Kalvin and Sue after he took a shot.
Next we went back to my parents house and played in the water in the backyard.
Dad and Kalvin.
Everyone throwing water balloons.
The night before Sue got married we had a special program. Here I am giving her our family scrapbook page.
Here is a shot of the whole family.
Alicia, Brandon, and Liz.
So Kail got stung by a bee on the bottom of his foot. We gave him some benadryll and he slept for the rest of the night. At least we know he is not allergic.
After the Sue's event we had a firework show outside.
Here is a fun shot of all the men with their wedding ties. Scott's was at his house.
We had a very busy July. We also went to the ranch for Greg's family reunion. Here we are swimming.
Here is the family with a shot of the mountains behind us.
The last day at the ranch was my birthday and boy did I wake up sick. When we got home the kids really wanted to open some presents. I was not doing well.
By the next day I seemed to be doing much better.
Greg and I took the kids up to walk around Silver Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Here is a nice shot that Liz took.
Liz.
Kail.
Kalvin.
Liz and Greg were able to go to our stake father-daughter campout. Liz loves this and looks forward to going every year.
We also went to Lagoon one night for our Stake Lagoon Day. We road the ferris wheel.
Liz
Kalvin and me.
We also road the train. Liz took this shot of us.
We went to see fireworks in North Salt Lake on July 3rd. Since the 4th was a Saturday and early church we thought this would be a better time to go.
Liz kept trying to take pictures of the glowsticks. It was a fun night.
On the 4th some of Greg's family came up for a bbq. We played in the pool.
and ate a lot of great food.
Here is another picture and I don't want to embarrass Jeff so I fixed it a little. I do have a great picture of Jeff on the slip and slide. I am not showing it now but might use if for blackmail later. Can anyone say babysitting!!!

June 2009

So I know I have not blogged in forever. I have a definite problem. Here are some pictures of our family for June. I know I should just skip it but some many fun things happened this summer I want to share. Above is a picture of me with Grandpa Cannon on Father's Day. He was so wonderful to let us all come visit even towards the end when we was feeling so sick.
Liz had her dance recital this June. She did a great job. Her class did a Lady Bug dance during the studios show titled "UTAH." It was a lot of fun and she did a great job. I have really like her new dance studio.
Here is a picture with dad after he gave her some flowers after her performance. The only bad part about the recital was that you have to be 5 years old to attend so Kail and Kalvin had to stay at home with grandpa and grandma.
Greg took a week of in June and we did a bunch of fun family things. Here is a picture of us at the Children's Museum at the Gateway. It was a lot of fun.
To get down to the Gateway we road FrontRunner. It was a lot of fun.
Kail loved the train ride!
Here is a picture of Liz climbing the climing wall.
Kalvin has such a great smile!
They loved this horse!
Here is a picture of the whole family at Claire's baby blessing. It was a very nice event.
Here are some pictures with cousins on celebrating Father's Day.
They love croquet.
I just had to include this picture because it is pretty rare that I get a picture with just Greg.
Don't you wish you could be a kid again and just love to lick the beaters and let it get all over your face.
This month we also moved to boys to the bunkbeds! Goodbye crib. I am not that sorry to see you go.
Kail loves sleeping on the top. He feels like such a big boy!
Here is Kalvin in his "cage" at the bottom. He doesn't need the rail anymore and loves his bed too.
So when Greg was off his dad came up to help hime take out a tree in our backyard that had died. It was quite a project and we appreciated the help. Unfornately, it looks like it might have had a desease and the other tree like this in our backyard is staring to show signs of doing the same thing. (Sigh)
I was also able to take the kids to the zoo with grandma and Liz brought a friend. Kail would not stand near the elephant so he missed the picture.
We road the carosel.
Played with all the statues of animals.
And of course decided to see how we compare to the gorilla.
Liz also took swimming lessons in June and July. She did a great job! I am so proud of her. She did an amazing job!

The Last of April and May and a little of June

Well I am excited! With this post I am now only 1 month behind and that is not that bad. I don't have tons of pictures from June and that is great.
So I had to put this picture on the top. I am sooooo excited to announce that for Mother's Day I got new appliances. I have a brand new microwave, a french door fridge and a double oven! I did not want a black fridge or a white stove, so this is my compromise. The appliances work great and I am so excited to have a window in my oven(s). I have not had a window in my oven my entired married life. It is so nice to see the food as it cooks. Thanks honey for endulging me!

After we got these appliances I realized that within the last year we have replaced every appliance in the kitchen. We just had to replace the dishwasher and the garbage disposal. We also replaced the faucet. Wow it is amazing how our house has needed so many changes lately. We also put in a new furnace last year. Next up are the windows and then the roof. YEAH!!!!
We were able to attend the air show at Hill Air Force Base during air force week. I think this was in June. Isn't terrible when life runs together and you forget. Greg was out of town all the week leading up to the airshow and so we were sad we could not go the day before when the crowds would have been much smaller.
I have never been to an air show before and it was amazing.
The kids loved climbing around in all the planes and helecopters that were there.

This is a picture of Liz and Kail in a giant plane that you want in the tail end and out by the nose.

It is quite amazing that amoung the 400,000 people there we ran into grandpa and grandma by accident. It was amazing. They did try to call us but the phones were not working because there are so many people. It was nice to have help. We also ran into my uncle Barry and cousins Dustin and Annie (and family). Sorry no picture but it was nice to see you guys.

During the last week of school grandpa came up to visit the boys and play. They all had a great time. I love having family so close.
This is a picture of Lizzy's last day of kindergarten. She had a great year and loved her teacher. I can not believe that she will be in first grade next year and gone all day. :(
Here is a picture of the family at a bbq we had on Memorial Day. Everyone is there! It was great to be together before Jason headed back to D.C. for the summer.
We were able to go up to Heber and ride Thomas the Train. The kids had a great time. Kail is still asking me everyday if we can go and ride Thomas again.

So here are some pictures from Easter. We are dying eggs and then the kids are in their Easter clothes.

And last of all we went to the zoo. We had a great time.

So now I am caught up except for the pictures still on my camera.
